Why recycle at all?

There is a lot of talk around clean sports. Unfortunately, this often doesn’t include the environment. A single tennis ball may not be particularly significant. But we are talking about millions of balls each year – just in Switzerland.

8 million tennis balls
are discarded in Switzerland each year

Up to 80.000 km
that’s how far a ball travels – from the raw materials to the court

30 Minutes to 10 hours is the average lifespan of a tennis ball

4’000 tons of CO2
are emitted by the production of tennis balls in Switzerland

What’s special about
tennis ball recycling

Tennis balls are currently a disposable product. Rubber, nylon and cotton are firmly glued together - which is why they cannot be separated through conventional recycling. With new methods and a simple service, we are now making it possible to recycle tennis balls properly.

Throwing away is out. We believe in circularity as an alternative to the linear economic model.

What happens to the balls?

We are launching a simple recycling system for tennis balls

Tennis clubs throughout Switzerland can set up our collection boxes

Players can throw their old balls in the boxes right after the game

As soon as the containers are full, we collect them free of charge

New raw materials are created from the balls
